As part of the residency at SQfarm, the collective engaged with the Anthropocene in the surroundings of the farms environment. Collectively we reflect on models of coexistence and ecology, we explore how we can think the Anthropocene to delineate future paths in a body-based, choreographic and performative way.
IN THE SECLUSION OF THE FARM’S RURAL SETTING IN THE MOUNTAINS OF BERCHTESGADENER LAND, SURROUNDED BY FORESTS, MOUNTAINS, LAKES AND FIELDS, PROJECT PARTICIPANTS ENGAGE PHYSICALLY, INTENSELY WITH HOLOCENE BIOSIGNATURES AND DISTANCE THEMSELVES FROM THE RECENT ACHIEVEMENTS OF SOCIETAL TECHNOLOGICAL ADVANCES. THERE, THE HARBINGERS OF A NEW EARTH-HISTORICAL EPOCH MAY BE FELT IN THE CONTEXT OF THE ENVIRONMENT. IN ORDER TO ESTABLISH A PERSONAL AND
YET REFLECTED ARTISTIC HYPOTHESIS, THERE IS A NECESSITY TO RESEARCH IN DIFFERENT AREAS, WHICH DIFFER SIGNIFICANTLY FROM EACH OTHER IN THE GEOSIGNATURES OF THEIR RESPECTIVE ENVIRONMENTS.
